TheraBreath Review and Giveaway ($25 value)

CLOSED
A couple years back, I had a really bad problem with my breath but the worst part was that I really had no clue that it was going on. To me, everything was normal. It wasn't until my family noticed and said something that I realized how bad it was. Trust me, for some reason, I had really bad breath; my family smelt it from the front of the car and I was in the back. It turns out I had chronic sinusitis so once that was treated, my bad breath went away. However, recently, I wasn't feeling so hot and that bad breath started coming back again. This ended up being perfect timing when TheraBreath initiated contact with me and was wonderful about doing a review for them. They sent me TheraBreath Oral Rinse 10 oz (MRSP 10.50), TheraBreath Toothpaste 4 oz (MRSP 10.50) and TheraBreath Mouth-Wetting Lozenges 100 (MRSP 13.00).

TheraBreath is the solution Dr. Harold Katz, UCLA School of Dentistry Graduate, created in attempts to help his own daughter with her chronic, bad breath when multiple toothbrushing episodes and mouth washes just weren't doing the trick! I have to admit that sometimes, when I'm really not feeling well, my breath is bad even right after brushing my teeth, which is really frustrating. Or, I'll be chewing gum and still be offered a piece of gum by my SO. How embarrassing is that!? I was definitely interested in TheraBreath and also slightly skeptical at whether it would actually work or not.

For the ultimate effect, I was supposed to brush with TheraBreath Toothpaste for a good 2 minutes and then use the oral rinse, for about a minute and a half, and then supplement with the mints if needed every 3-4 hours. However, you could also use them separately and alone. I found both the toothpaste and oral rinse to be fairly bland in flavor without the minty flavor that you usually get with various toothpastes and mouth washes. I made it a habit to brush then rinse and then to test out the effects, I'd blow my breath at my SO at various times during the day, and that included when I first woke up in the morning too. Hehe...I'm a jerk, aren't I? But hey, if it makes you feel better, my morning breath was milder too with TheraBreath so it wasn't so bad! TheraBreath seems to work.

I also used the mints during the day because being in the hospital environment means talking to fellow colleagues and patients is generally a must. Plus, I absolutely love my onions in my burgers and wraps. Let's face it, a burger is nothing without onions! Sadly though, onions only mean one thing when you talk to people a lot and its bad breath. The combination of citrus and mint leaf as well as their clinical formula which deals with the bacteria in your mouth causing bad breath as well as strong odors makes for a strong combination. It has a pleasantly nice taste and stimulates the production of saliva, which also helps to wet your mouth as well as fight bad breath. Interesting fact, saliva has a high concentration of oxygen, which is a natural way to deal with bad breath! And it really does leave a refreshing feel in your mouth, unlike the many packs of gum I've chewed in the past.

Surprisingly, my skepticism was quite unfounded as TheraBreath really does work. The only down side, however, is that it is a decent amount of work, having to brush and then rinse for about 3.5 minutes each morning and I am definitely not a morning person and my schedule is packed as it is so I really appreciate any extra sleep time I get, even if its just 5 more minutes! However, based on your own bad breath level, you may not need as much for your treatment or you may use more. So, the regimen may be a bit to adhere to if you really don't want to spend that much time on it. On the other hand, though, if you have serious bad breath and nothing else has been helping, I would definitely recommend TheraBreath.
